These series of drawings were created to illustrate the short story of Mireille Gaelageas about a young girl and the french painter Bazille.  It's a very sad story for the yound girl, as she falls in love with the illusion of becoming a painter through meeting Bazille and dies...Mireille invented this tale after seeing Bazille's painting of a young girl sitting on a wall by the village of Usclas du Bosc. I made 3 different girls, that Mireille could choose from, a very tortured one, a dreamy one and the last one inspired from the original painting. Mireille chose the latter that was then published in a regional magazine "Vivre en Languedoc" in 2007.
