These drawings were part of an installation created for an exhibition organised by the art and poetry publishers Collodion in Martigues in 1994. The space was at the Salle de l'Aigalier and we were two exhibitors with painter Lydie Arickx. The works of two poets including Julien Blaine and our drawings were made into a beautiful litho printing catalogue.   I conceived the installations in-situe, interacting with the architectural exhibition space and village in which it was being held. The drawings were part of my research as I went every morning to draw the houses of Martigues preparing for the final art pieces. The drawings were all shown during the exhibit pinned on the walls as tiles playing with each other. A line, a triangle, a square, all taken from the shadows on the walls of Martigues or the wires of a lamp post, to become more and more minimal and offer a totally different construction.
