I was invited in 1994 by a gallery to exhibit in Martigues. The gallery was run by artist-books publishers called Collodion.
I created a very minimal installation, from drawings and sketches made in the village of Martigues for a month.
My idea was to use the shapes I had extracted from many drawings of the area, and get them to interact with the gallery space.
All work was made with charcoal on paper, I used some metal poles to create a sense of line or break up in the space of the gallery.
Some of the drawings were made on the wooden walls of the gallery.
A catalogue was published about this exhibition using silkscreen and offset.
